St Paul's is the original (1826) parish church of Shipley. Our priorities are to welcome people to worship, to nurture newcomers and old-established members, and to serve Shipley. Music, both traditional and informal, plays an important part in church life for young people and adults alike.

We work alongside our sister churches of all traditions in the town through Shipley Churches Together.

The building, an historic "Waterloo" church with a "listed" organ, has been sensitively adapted to meet the needs of its congregation and recently refurbished internally.

The parish includes the town centre, suburban housing and industry, plus Salts Mill+ and part of the historic Saltaire Village+ World Heritage Site.

Holy Communion

A short quiet but friendly service. Common Worship Order 1 is used, except on the 2nd Sunday of the month when we follow the Book of Common Prayer. Weekly except Sunday after Christmas - may be cancelled in August

Parish Communion/Sunday Together

Our main act of worship, using modern-language forms and a mixture of traditional and modern hymns/songs: "Parish Communion" Order 1, with young people's groups; "Sunday Together" is a more informal service for all ages, usually on the 2nd Sunday of the month

Weekly at 9:45 AM for approx. 70 mins

Evening Service

On most Sundays we have a simple reflective service of Evening Prayer (usually with hymns) or (monthly) Holy Communion; sometimes this is replaced with a special choral or inter-church service, which may not be at St Paul's - please check!

Weekly at 6:30 PM for approx. 45 mins

Wednesday Communion

A friendly gathering for worship (Order 1 is used) in the middle of the week, for those who aren't free on Sunday or who value space for God in their daily lives.

Weekly at 10:00 AM for approx. 35 mins
